The word is used in a book that I am reading and I do not know what it means. Is it made up?

This word is pronounced in three ways.Jnan,Gnan, and also as gyan. It is a sanskrit word meaning wisdom and there is no equivalent letter in English for the first letter.
It also means divine knowledge.

What book is that? How is the word used? Always be as detailed as possible.

As far as the word Jnan is concerned, a search on Google shows it mostly as a Morrocan/Arab name
