You would be amazed at the atrocities that go on in the world that you never hear about. I read a number of foreign pubs, but realize they are targeted at English-speakers.
Right now, there are at least forty incidences of genocide going on in the world. Human slavery is still quite the big business.
There are warlords without countries that approach Hussein's history of brutality.
Oh, here's an easy one. Look up FARC. Most people outside of South America have never heard of it. They are likely the largest and most organized terrorism network in the world, according to Naval Intelligence. Interesting, especially since you consider FARC is mostly landlocked, but run the majority of the illegal drug business in the Americas, and really want to take over South America, for starts. It started as a Colombian revolutionary group, and has expanded quite a bit.
Second Addendum: Look up Kashmir to find a little bit about the hostilities between India and Pakistan. Kashmir is the battleground, the issues are much deeper. Look to the Himalayas to see what China has done to those countries.
How much pain can you take, before you decide to choose a path of making the world a better place. I recommend starting in your own neighborhood.

Are you enrolled to vote, and do you encourage others to vote as well?
Its becoming popular to complain, but if there were less words and more actions - countries are changed.
