Well vehicle armor citations are not entirely accurate. Armor was sufficient for what was thought to be the threat. What occurred was the use of "tank buster" RPG by the Iraqi forces and later insurgents. These tank busters were sold to Iraq by the Russians This was a violation of the sanctions.
But here is to answer the main question. I am going to vent here, so I apologize now instead of later.
It WAS NOT UNTIL BUSH CAME IN OFFCIE THAT OUR TROOPS RECEIVED A PAY RAISE! UNDER CLINTON WE DID NOT RECEIVE ONE! ACTUALLY IT WAS UNDER CLINTON THAT OUR MILITARY WAS DEGRADED BY HALF. SO THAT IS WHY WE HAVE HAD TO SPEND SO MUCH MONEY TO REBUILD IT! ALSO DURING THE CLINTON YEARS WE HAD TROOPS ON WELFARE. THAT IS PITIFUL.
YOU SELFISH PEOPLE! LET US BE ISOLATIONIST. AS FAR AS YOU PEOPLE ARE CONCERNED WE SHOULD HAVE LET HUSSEIN STAY IN POWER. SURE, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT. I WISH I CAN GO BACK IN TIME AND STOP THE WAR SO YOU PEOPLE WOULD GET WHAT YOU WANT.
THAT WAY I CAN BLAME YOU PEOPLE FOR EVERY WOMAN AND CHILD SADDAM HUSSEIN WOULD KILL.
YOU ARE THE SAME PEOPLE THAT BACKED CLINTON IN YUGOSLAVIA. BUT SINCE IT WAS A LIBERAL IT WAS OKAY. YUGOSLAVIA WAS NOT A THREAT, BUT WE WENT THERE TO HELP PEOPLE! I HAD FRIENDS THAT DIED THERE.
SO WHO CARES HOW WE GOT INTO IRAQ. WE ARE THERE TO HELP PEOPLE, HUMAN BEINGS FOR GODS SAKE.
YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME ILL. TO THINK I SERVED FOR YOU PATHETIC SELFISH PEOPLE! WHAT THE HELL YOU PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT WAR? YOU JERKS DON'T NO NOTHING ABOUT WAR.
TROOPS KNOW WHAT WAR IS-NOT YOU. WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT NON-ACTIONS.
HERE IS A FACT FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE. REENLISTMENT IS OVER 80%. HEY THE TROOPERS MUST BELIEVE IN WHAT THEIR DOING. SO WAHT YOU GET A COUPLE OF SOLDIERS ON TV COMPLAINING, SO WHAT. THOSE ARE THOSE SAME SOLDIERS THAT COMPLAIN ABOUT RUNNING DURING P.T.

Your Right! Sad the other day, on the 9/11 memorial at Arlington National Cemetery...they buried a 18 year old Marine who died in combat overseas. What a heroic young man, a young man who gave up his life while the President of Iraq shakes hands with the President of Iran? While the Taliban is stronger than ever, destroying the schools our soldiers built, terrorizing the land with anti-American propaganda! Where will this war go? How many more young men and women will give their lives for a cause that has no guarantees!

The non-action is with the Democrats, not Bush. He's doing something about the terrorist problem, unlike Clinton who just ignored it.
Try looking up WW2 & seeing how many soldiers were killed in that war. Thank God polls were not taken daily in that war by Democrats or we would never never won.
About time some of these liberals realize we are at war & stop helping the enemy !
