when chris farley died studio execs were up in arms who would be the next next john candy.
they made a very poor decision to cast Jack Black in many of the roles he has starred in. he is mildly amusing at best, but at least he's funnier than Horatio Sanz

Not really. Maybe they both had the same taste in music and most likely share the same sense of humor. But I see Jack Black more as a showman/comedian/musician while Chris is just a comedian.

Aye, they're nothing like each other. Jack IS a showman - very different sense of humour.
