My husband and I are thinking we want another baby. My tubes are tied(almost three years ago) and I don't know how the did it. Do you still have eggs when the tubes are tied? But any way I heard that you can have your egg and his sperm put together and implanted in the uterus, is this true? Or can I just have them untied and do it the old fashion way?

I had my tubes tied because honestly I can't ever remember to take a pill or make it to the docs to get shots, and i won't have anything stuck under my skin. So that's why plus I am pretty fertile and get pregnant really easily, so to prevent future unwanted pregnancies I opted to have my tubes tied, if they can't be reveresed then we'll adopt, I am just curious that's all.

Unless your tubes were cut, tied, and burnt, you can have them untied and ENJOY making your next baby.
You have all the eggs you will ever have when you are born. You don't make more, the ones you have only mature, and it's either fertilized or not.
But, you can have the doc fish a few out of your ovary, mix it with a few of his spermies, and implant a few in your uterus, but that is more costly, and you may have multiple, due to the fact that they will implant more than one to be sure at least one implants into your uterus lining.

it depends entirely on how you had them tied, but the surgery is more extensive that when they tied them, so be warned they might tell you no. Some are just not reversable. Mine weren't. Why did you get your tubes tied if there was a possibility you could want another child? Tubal ligation is considered a permanent method of birth control

Yes you are born with your lifes supply of eggs but if your tubes were cut and tied then it could be more difficult to become pregnant. Speak to your Dr and find out exactly what it intails - Good Luck anyway i hope you get the result you want

You do still have eggs. They can go in with a needle and remove some of your eggs then combine your egg with his sperm then insert it in your uterus. This doesn't always work. I am pretty sure that you won't have much luck in undoing the tube tying.

My aunt had her tubes "untied" and she became pregnant a few months later. So i guess it is possible to still have a baby after your tubes have been tied and untied.
