my answer is y = c1 + c2(x^2) + (e^x)(x^2 + 4x) i just need to double check this answer.

your COMPIMENTARY solution is CORRECT.

your PARTICULAR solution is INCORRECT.

y_comp = c1 + c2(x^2)

y_part = x^2e^x

so general solution is:

y = c1 + c2(x^2) + x^2e^x

note: Like doug said above, you can always check your answer by plugging it into the original diff. e.q.
