the texting thing would be cute, but limit that to just the good night kind of thing, at least until she gives you an okay for the morning one. as for your date and you questioning your boundaries, maybe, when you guys get some down time while you're eating or something, you can slip in a few questions about what she likes and doesnt like, but if you're both freshmen, she'll probably think it's pretty cute. just don't over do the cuteness, unless, you're naturally like that. just be yourself, because there's nothing worse than realizing your dating someone completely different. plus.. insecurity is a turn off. so chill out, the more laid back you can be about yourself, determines the amount of comfort she can feel around you. good luck
