I used to go out to the parking lot near the local bar early in the morning on weekends. I'd look for change on the ground. There always was some because drunk guys always drop change when they take their keys from their pocket. I'd sometimes even find $20 bills if there was a party or drag show the night before.

I picked pennies out of the fountain in the mall so I could get a shirt that I was a little too broke for. Luckily I was about 13 at the time. Still embarrassing, but at least a little excusable.

Get a loan with those no payments and no interest for 1 or 2 years. Charge my credit cards. Take my kid's piggy bank. Ask a friend to help pay for it and I will pay her back when I get the money.
