The absolute best thing to do is eat food that have a low Glycemic Index (GI).

Switching to eating mainly low GI carbs that slowly trickle glucose into your blood stream keeps your energy levels balanced and means you will feel fuller for longer between meals.

As a very basic guide follow this:
The basic technique for eating the low GI way is simply a "this for that" approach - ie, swapping high GI carbs for low GI carbs. You don't need to count numbers or do any sort of mental arithmetic to make sure you are eating a healthy, low GI diet.

-Use breakfast cereals based on oats, barley and bran
-Use breads with wholegrains, stone-ground flour, sour dough
-Reduce the amount of potatoes you eat
-Enjoy all other types of fruit and vegetables
-Use Basmati or Doongara rice
-Enjoy pasta, noodles, quinoa
-Eat plenty of salad vegetables with a vinaigrette dressing

This website is amazing. They started the research in this area at a leading university and are the leaders in the world.

I can tell you that nothing else worked for me to increase my energy levels as much as eating a low GI diet. Please note, this does NOT mean a low carb diet.

Good luck.

Hi Rob,
If you're feeling tired maybe you should try changing your diet, drinking more water during the day, sleep patterns etc, but if you need a bit of a "pick me up" there are tonics that you can buy over the counter which will help for a while like Metatone, or vitamins and minerals ( the pharmacist should be able to advice you on these ), your best bet is to go into a chemist and ask for some advice.
I would also suggest a visit to your doctor who could prescribe you some iron ( quite often it is lack of iron that makes you feel tired and lethargic ) if you need it that is.
There are products over the counter that can help, so go in for advice.
Hope you get it sorted , good luck .

ok here is my suggestion to you (i did this and it worked)

buy a really good daily vitamin and make sure you take one everyday
try to eat a healthy balanced diet - meaning more fiber, more water, things like that.
try to eat a salad everyday
avoid things like soda pop, candy, and junk food
drink some green tea in the morning (I prefer Arizona teas because they are flavored with honey and give an amazing energy boost)
get into an excercise routine. try going on a 30 minute walk at least three times a week.
in between meals, if you start to feel hungry, try to drink a tall glass of water, lemonade, or try those crystal light flavorings in some purified water. You would be amazed at the energy boost you can get from water/flavored water.
do NOT eat after 7 pm. I know this rule sounds bad but it makes your digestive tract work harder and you dont sleep as well.

well any other questions just let me know

Good for you - those energy drinks are bad for you. Try taking a multivitamin. Also make sure you are eating a good variety of healthy foods.
