While Tupac was a live he was a legend. If you get a chance really listen to his interview and what he had to say. He cared about his people and how they were treated by the police and media. Tupac was just not a rapper but an activist, thanks to his mother and the Black Panthers. He also was a skill actor as well but sometime him being to vocally got him in trouble, due to being misunderstood. For you to understand this legend you had to feel his pain, look in his eyes when you see the media interviews of him, listen to some of his lyrics or read his book of poems; then you will understand why this beautiful soul is a legend. (do some research, they have a documentary about him) Then let me know, what you think.

Likely, had had he lived, he would have become even larger. He was a true talent in the hip-hop/r&b industry. In addition to having the raw musical talent (both lyrics and musical skills), he was one of the few rappers to stay true to the ideals upon which rap was founded.
Rap is to R&B what Punk was to Rock, with rap rooted in social commentary. Too many musicians today focus their music on their own wealth, instead of focusing on the injustices in thier communities and the world at large. Some of Tupac's greatest tracks speak directly to these forgotten issues, and still speak to them even after 10 years.

I don't know. There seems to be a weird thing that happens when someone is killed at the height of their fame. They are treated as martyrs or something. Good sociology question.
I liked him, didn't love him, and thought he was a better actor than anything else.

Refer to the other threads.
If you have to ask you'll never get it.
And ive debated it. as far as dead rappers, i dont think B.I.G would've been around much longer. He released one album before he died. And those shiny suits were getting absurd. He would be where mase is now.
But pac had already been around about a decade, he wasnt going anywhere.
And dont even answer the question "KIDD smokes.."
I saw you recommend Dolly Parton. f*ckin' B*tch
