Any child in the world. Chances are you would have never heard of this child.

You would become filthy rich.

Be honest.

Ok, to be honest, yes. Because what if my richness lead to donations to research so that more than 1 children can be saved from HIV or malaria.

People cannot assume money is just for personal greed. Think about what the saying, money is the root to all evil, is really targetting. It is targetting against human greed. Good can come from money. You cannot deny that money is why you work because money is used to buy other neccessities of life. Admittedly, if everyone worked to benefit mankind, then no currency would be needed as people would work for free. But that is only an idea...the road to achieving such a reality is hard and tedious and the rest of mankind might not agree on following such a road. Why not take advantage of the existing system and its use of money to motivate mankind to get results that would benefit mankind?

I know someone will say, 1 human being's rights should not be ignored for the sake of rest of mankind and I too have thought of this. My choice was dificullt and I do not wish to suggest that my yes was an instant decision.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! How could I possibly enjoy being "filthy rich" knowing that this condition is attached to my having the money??? I couldn't - and the fact that I may have never heard of the child does not change my answer.

That's an honest answer!

What's more appalling than this question is the fact that some people just might actually do it. Trading innocent lives for an earthly treasure is not at the top of my list thank you.

Anyone with a child would never answer this question "yes". Not one single person

I will do it but given that I will also choose the child to be died. If it is random, then I will not do.

There are lot of children who are suffering from incurable diseases. They will eventually die today or tomorrow. I will choose one of them so that the money I get, I can use to save others...

Thanks

What's wrong with not being rich?
I am not rich now but I am happy with my life. So why trade my conscience for a corruption?

no amount of money is worth sacrificing the life of a child, random or otherwise.
