If it were a chlorinated pool, I'd say great! Chlorinated water is actually great at cleaning wounds, and therefore would be nice on your ears. Lakes, on the other hand, are a bit dirtier, but I don't think it will be a problem. Just keep using the solution they probably gave you to clean your ears with, and if you don't have any of that you can use rubbing alcohol. But think of it this way...would having a small cut on your leg stop you from swimming? Probably not. Ear piercings are pretty minor as far as wounds go, so swim on!

You be fine to swim in a lake or a swimming pool after you get your ears pierced. Just continue to clean the your ear piercings as directed by the person that gave you the piercing. You can even take a shower every day. Have fun at camp!

A lake? Well, if it were a pool, I'd think no problem. The chlorine would take care of most problems. A lake is different - but, I would think that if you are good about cleaning your ears after you get them pierced and clean them with either the piercing solution or diluted rubbing alcohol after swimming, you should be alright.
If, after a few weeks, your ears aren't completely healed you need to re-think it.
You could also check with the folks at the ear piercing place.

You will be fine to go swimming. Just make sure after you're finished swimming that you cleanse them thoroughly and apply Polysporin because the chemicals from the pool can be drying to the skin, especially sensitive areas like your freshly pierced ear lobes.

Its okay, just dive in! Make sure you wash your earrings and piercing with the disinfectant at least once a day to help healing and prevent infection.

I wouldn't recomend it. Maybe if it seems your ears have healed and no longer hurt, you can go... Its been 4 yrs and my ears still seem to have stuff coming out of the peircings. Anyway, I would suggest if its about 6 wks after, then its pretty safe and theres little risk of infection. U are allowed to change from your original studs after 6 weeks, if i remember my experience correctly.

I would at least wait two weeks. Also, once you get out of the water, make sure you clean your ears right away. That will help with infection.
Have fun at camp!
