If you take birth control pills a few hours late for about a week or two can it cause you to ovulate and get pregnant if you have sex? I'm not worried because me and my husband are going to be trying for a baby soon, but I was just curious to see if it's possible.

What do you mean by a few hours late?! Do you mean later than when you usually take EACH day? Or do you mean later and later each day until you space them more than a day apart?

Point is, as long as you take it once a day (which is how it is directed) you should be fine. The main reason it is recommened to be taken at the same time is so that you get into the habit of it and you don't forget... like brushing your teeth first thing in the morning.

it depends on how long you've been on them. the longer you have (2 years or more), the more it builds in your system and the harder it is to effect. If its anything less then that, then it starts to get off schedule. Once or twice and you should be fine, but a week or two...you might have a pretty good chance of getting pregnant. HOWEVER - if you started taking it a couple hours later the normal on the first day of your new pack (after you've had your period), it won't be as risky, because you are adjusting your body to a new schedule - thats what I did when Daylight Savings time comes around every year, and I've been fine
Good luck trying to conceive!

No if you are still taking them everyday but taking them at different times they are still effective. In fact you can miss a day, double up the next and still be fine. However, if you miss three days in a row and aren't wanting to get pregnant it is suggested that you start your pill cycle all over again and use alternate birth control for 15-30 days.

Best wishes on expanding your family!

Anything is possible. Most likley not. Some people can get pregnant on birth control under any circumstance. Most likley if you wanted to get pregnant this way. You wouldn't. Murphy's Law.
