I have been friends with my man for 17yrs, for the last 6yrs we have been in a good relationship.
My ex husband was a VERY cruel man.(in and out of bed)
Anyway.... I have not been able to recieve oral sex due to fear of what the ex did to me.
My hubby told me when ever I was ready he would be more than willing.
I told him 3 days ago that I would like to try again, but he has been avoiding me like the plaque!!
I find this very stange, because we have always been honest with each other.(with every thing)
Have I done something wrong?
How do I bring the subject up?
What should I do?

You've known this guy for 17 years, been in a relationship with him for 6, and you've always been honest with each other on everything... what's keeping you from asking him?

Ask him what's up. There's no need to be subtle about it, there's no need for an elaborate introduction to the topic. Just come out and ask him what the deal is.

First off you can't plan when you're going to try recieving oral sex again. You're not talking planning a birthday party. Sex is more than just a physical thing. It's an emotional or even mental thing. Don't get impatient just ride it out. Or better yet if it's bothering you why don't you just come out and ask him? Or better than that, why don't you try surprising him when he comes home? I know if I walked in the door and some sweet woman was looking all sexy and stuff mumbling the magic words, "I want you to eat me, now" she wouldn't have to tell me twice...

First, shave everything down there as close as possible. Secondly, make sure he knows you've bathed prior to the two of you beginning foreplay.
Lastly, show him what you've done. Could happen in the shower?
Have fun, but use protection to prevent a pregnancy before you marry him.

You need to consult a psychiatrist or attend support groups. 17 years is long enough for you to have overcome the acts of your ex-husband. Do you enjoy reliving the horrible acts of your ex? If you do then you have a mental problem.

You need a psychiatrist or attend support groups.

obviously you have told him why you didnt want to do that in the first place. maybe that brought up feeling of anger for him towards your ex regarding what he did to you. now everytime he thinks bout doing that with you, that feeling of anger comes over him. and he doesnt like feeling like that so he avoids you. its only a theory though. if you have an honest and open relationship, you need to talk to him.

Ease into it,
you have conditioned him not to anticipate
oral, he is a good boy.
jump his bones a few more times and
when hes not aware of it
slip him a biscuit, pat him on the head
and he will be your friend for ever.
