hey i recognize that! thats a stat expression! ew! hem..heh now thats out of the way, it means that the value the research was tested at shows very little difference than the mean of the sample it was taken from.

It is the probability of a positive statistical test results that is actually a type II error - i.e. rejecting the null hypothesis when it is actually correct. For example, if you testing whether A=B; and the test result gives a score that has a p<0.001, it means that the test result suggest that you can be 99.9% sure that A is not equal to B.
