I have heard this too... Women are generally in a hurry, because
they had to wait in line to use the restroom in the first place.

Listen, I used to work in an office that faced another office; each office had its own bathroom (one bathroom for each office that men and women shared). The men complained about women not flushing and leaving "brown submarines" and leaving their used "pads" exposed in their little plastic garbage can... I told them repeatedly that not to dispose of their pads or tampons in the toilet... do you have an idea how many times the women would come to ask ME to help them unclog their toilet? One day, I spent an hour trying to unclog it... they called a professional plumber who threw a royal s h i t-fit when he pulled out his rotary device that had skewered about 20 pads and there were also a bunch of water-engorged tampons!!! He was so angry that he YELLED a blue streak in that office that was heard in all the other offices!

I don't understand it because my aunts, cousins, nieces, my daughter, her cousins... well, they know better than to do that... what goes on? Well, just as there are some MALE pigs, we have FEMALE pigs out there, too! NOT all women are guilty of those inconsiderate acts that affect their own gender that go to the bathrooms they share. Some men don't lift the seats and dribble all over, and some men don't have the common courtesy of flushing their "submarines" and some men (and some women) don't wash their hands after going into the bathroom! (By the way, urinals sometimes don't have a screen mesh to catch cigarettes and gum thrown in... well, that mesh is for preventing the backsplash of urine... some of us get our pants splashed when we urinate so we stand back to avoid getting our pants wet...and we wet the sides of the urinal; make sure that that mesh is there and it will cut down on the splashback and men trying to avoid getting their pants wet)

Let's not blame all women, and let's not blame all men. But, maybe a notice can be made where you work asking the women AND men (even if women are the worse offenders) to help by flushing their their wastes and by not flushing pads and tampons in the toilet... a sort of reminder? Just thought you might like to know that I also clean mens and womens restrooms at Value Village in Everett, WA. Not only are the womens restrooms dirtier, but also the womens side of the store as well. I think some of the other answers are right in that women are bigger pigs than men, but just dont like to admit it.

Where do you clean restrooms?!!! I've gone into plenty of men's restrooms (as a last resort cuz the others are full and because it's leagal) and theirs is the one with the smell, liquid on the floor, spots on the seat, and stains in the bowl.

Try putting a trash can and a plunger in the women's room and I bet you won't have as many problems.

sad to say, but women are the ones who usually take the children into the bathroom when they are out, so the general mess you get with toilet paper all over, water mess, and not being flushed are likely from these children who aren't monitered. the problem with the sanitary pads is just a result of people who are nasty and know that they are not the ones who will cleaning up.
