I want to put a bowl of candy out that says take one. If anyone takes more than one, I will jump out and chase them down the street. What should I wear though?

my sister did something like that a couple of halloween's ago. She got over sized overalls and shirt put them on and stuffed newspaper in to fill it out and some straw hanging out of the arms and legs. she wore a fake looking wig with a hat and a "scary" mask over her face. She had the front yard done up like a cemetery with other dummies placed around the yard made to look like her and she lied down near the pathway to the door and when people walked by she'd reach up and touch them. It was pretty funny. But don't do it to the real little kids not only will it scary the crap out of them and ruin the fun of the day but it will probably piss off some over-protective parents! Do it to the kids that are too big to be trick or treating anyway. It'll work on them, trust me.

I did this a couple of years ago. it was so much fun, i laughed all night long!!

I dressed up as a scarecrow and sat on a chair at the end of my walk way in front of my porch, I sat really still and kept the bowl of candy in my lap, with a sign on it that said please take only one, and then when the kids would go to take candy i would jump up at them, way too funny!! Then I would get them to calm down and i would give them candy, it was my favorite halloween!!

Good luck and have fun

Years ago, I decided to scare the kids as they came up to the door. There is a thin brick wall in front of the house shaded by trees. With it being dark, nobody could see me. As I jumped out between the trees and growled, I think I scared the mothers more so than I did the kids!

you should pretend to be a trashcan cut out the bottom and hide in it then let them think that its ok and take candy out of the bowl then while there walking away jump out and they will go running down the street and think twice next year before they take to much candy from a bowl left on the porch

Dress up like a scarecrow and sit near the bowl of candy motionless. If you see anyone being greedy, then "come alive." A teacher of mine used to do this, and it would scare everyone silly.

I've seen this done with an Ape costume, ghost and zombies. I have to say the ape was the best one. It jumped out of a tree and scared my sisters half to death. I just thought it was funny.

Get a really scary picture on a slide, like from a slide projector, and tape it onto the front of a flashlight. Go and hang out with your intended victim, and lure them into a sense of security. Then when they least expect it, shine the image onto a dark wall right in front of them and pretend to freak out. I did this to a friend of mine with a picture of ghoulish ghost face. He screamed like a little kid and fainted.

Go to your local cemetary with a really good tape recorder and see if you get any voice messages....I bet you will. Even a simple hello can be answered.
