i believe it's o.k. to have pride in your race. some people however carry it to far and the rest of us are the ones that pay for it.

The principle is AND SHOULD be that all American citizen races should by Amendment right, be given the un-blocked opportunity to express their ETHNIC pride as you have noted.

However, socio-persuasive mores (peppered by the "race card") don't allow social acceptence of "white pride" expressions. Any group of whites even attempting such get branded "racist" or "KKK sympatheic"; the following controversy riles people up.

And who better to stir this anger up than the race that clearly says it's OK for a black person to call fellow blacks the "N" word---but whites or other skin color races dam better NEVER dare utter the "N" word aloud!

So the racial/political ideal today is: It's OK for politically correct termed "minority" ethnic races to express pride in their skin color and lifestyle culture....but whites dare NOT be allowed the same privilege. Perhaps this happens as a defensive move to keep government "minority" living assistance program $$$$ flowing into the right pockets

Is it just me....or do you see a glaring First Amendment AND double standard here???? Who are the REAL racists we SHOULD frown on???

It is okay for someone to believe in that who and what they are, so long as they do not strive to degrade others. Pride is a good thing. When you start to become to detached from the rest of society is when you should really start to worry.

I think everyone should be proud of there race just don't take it to the extreme however I think they should stay in there own place "Mexicans." Nothing is wrong with being Black or White or what ever just don't go around screaming racism about every little thing.

Race is real. Those that try to say otherwise are kidding themselves. Have pride in your race(whatever it is). I certainly have pride in mine.

I take pride in my accomplishments, not in my ancestry. I like my ethnicity just fine, but pride has to be something I earn.

THE WHITE PEOPLE THAT ARE TRUE AMERICANS ARE NOW BECOMING THE MINORITY. BECAUSE EVERY OTHER RACE MAKES THIS PLACE THEIR HOME. AND WHEN THEY DO NOT GET THEIR WAY OR WHAT THEY WANT THEY YELL DISCRIMINATION AND FILE SUIT AND OF COURSE GET A BUNCH OF MONEY AND WHATEVER IT WAS THEY WANTED THAT CAUSED THEM TO YELL DISCRIMINATION. US WHITE FOLKS HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER. WE ARE BEING RUN OVER BY PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES. THEY ARE STEALING WHAT IS OURS. THE USA GIVE EVERY IMMIGRANT WELFARE TO LIVE ON AS SOON AS THEY STEP FOOT IN THIS COUNTRY. THEY CAN NOT SPEAK SO THE GOVERNMENT PAYS PEOPLE TO INTERPRET FOR THEM. MY SPELLING MAY SUCK AND MY GRAMMAR BUT AT LEAST I AM WHITE AND AMERICAN. AND I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF BEING TOLD THAT I COULD NOT GET MEDICAL ASSISTANCE WHEN I HAD SURGERY BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH FUNDING AND THEY HAVE TO SET IT ASIDE FOR THE MINORITIES. THE SOCIAL WORKER TOLD ME FLAT OUT, IF WE DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM THEY FILE DISCRIMINATION. SO THEY HAVE TO GIVE THEM ALL THE HAND OUTS. I HAVE INSURANCE. BUT MY HOSPITAL BILL AND SURGERY CAME TO OVER ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER WORKING HARD, AND I HAVE A CO PAY. I HAVE TO PAY A PERCENTAGE OF THAT. THE HOSPITAL WANTED IT UP FRONT BEFORE THEY WOULD DO SURGURY. SO MY MOM BORROWED ME THE MONEY. BUT IF I WAS AN IMMIGRANT THEY WOULD HAVE DONE THE SURGERY FOR FREE.

I agree that it is OK to have pride in ones ethnicity, as long as it isn't at the expense of other ethnic groups.

One should only be proud of one has achieved oneself. And not of the fact that one is considered belonging to this group or that
