Hey... they're not gross. They just do not want to be looked at and treated like straight women (judged by other women, whistled at or talked down to by men), which they would have to endure if they looked straight.
Besides, they aren't dressing like men, they're dressing like butch lesbians, there's a difference. The lesbian dress code is actually a bit stricter than what men wear, I would say. For example, sometimes men will wear bright colours but butch lesbians virtually never do.

You seem pretty butch to me.. oh no wait.. it was the other thing.. yea.. the gross part.
You have a dress code for male and female do you? Ever heard the word unisex? It is the fashion rage.. to make garments that look good on either sex.
Frequently lesbians dress for comfort, sometimes they dress in a manner that they hope will keep males from hitting on them as that is sooooo gross to most lesbians.. (of course I exclude bi women from that feeling)
Having been required to attend black tie events in my life, I have found that I cut a rather stunning figure in a tux.. white tails actually, with a lavender shirt.. (or so I have been told by both men and women and by gay and straight)
So if you want to be petty and small, you keep judging folks on your dress code.. we all know how out of fashion you must be.

If you don't like butch lesbians, then don't date them. There's no need in insulting people for the way they dress.
Why do you dress the way you do? How would you feel if someone described you as 'gross'?
Try getting over yourself before you miss out on knowing some really great people.

I'm not a Butch, but i'll try to answer your question. I'm a Tomboi and i dress in Jeans, Wifebeaters, Buttondowns and Wrestling shoes, it's not because i want to be a man, it's because that's what i'm comfortable in. If i was in a relationship i would be the dominate partner, as they say "Clothes Do Not Make The Man". And why are you so worried about it, are you still in the closet or are you one of those straight people that like to come in here asking ignorant *** questions.

Ahh, you're a jerk. Butch chicks are hot. I dress in boy clothes because they are loose and more comfortable. I would have to look really hard to find some comfortable girl clothes that actually look good.

Hey dude. Have you never heard the expression "Lesbians are women in comfortable shoes." We just don't give a flying f*ck about dresses and shyte - we dress in what we feel comfortable in. You should try it sometime. So much better than trotting around in high heels!

I don't see how your logic works. Straight guys dress like guys, but they don't want to have sex with guys. Some straight girls dress like guys, and they do want to have sex with guys. Allot of lesbians dress very feminine. Some people just feel more comfortable in clothes that are designed for the opposite sex.
