Dear Tina, first of all let me clarify that there are three states of matter i.e solid , liquid and gas. So the choice B is simply wrong. Now we are left with the three choices and C is the correct one because:

*A solid has definte shape and definite volume

*A liquid has indefinite shape and definite volume ( as it aquires the shape of the container in which it is poured)

*A gas has indefinite shape and indefinite volume
