I do not understand why a bunch of people love his music so much, I honestly think that his crap was horrible. But I suppose that everyone must jump on the bandwagon all because 99% of the American population is obsessed with this man.

Now tell me, can you honestly tell me why you like Tupac? Don't give me the "he was so good!" crap. Everyone says it. I seriously want to know WHY?

I'd like to answer you, but he really wasn't that good. People only really say it because he is dead now.

Now why would you hate a dead guy? I liked some of his stuff, but feel he was a better actor than he was a music "artist". I don't fall for the legend crap either. And no, I'm not obsessed with him. Far from it. You're generalizing a tad too much.

i like Tupac. He substitute into between the main suitable lyrical rappers as much as now. He led a foul existence, and positively one of his songs youthful ******, actual tried to get childrens to make certain which you ain't have been given to sell drugs and shoot at human beings to make it. He inspired me to maintain my head up during tough cases, and he spoke his recommendations, regardless if he would desire to take a bullet for it.

Watch this video. Tupac was only 20 yrs old when he gave this speech.

Tupac was a man who cared and was concerned about his community and the struggles of the oppressed. His lyrics were politically active and voiced the rage and anger of poor, Black youth. His message was also that of hope and spoke about the respect that we should have for women. Another reason people like him is that he was very articulate and eloquent in his speech and his songs. Although he had faults like any one of us, Tupac is someone who actually chose to 'live' life on this Earth, unlike most of us who are apathetic and indifferent. He is someone who actually seized the day and lived with passion. Hope this helps in giving you insight!

You are either insane or an idiot. I hope that you are just to young to catch him in his prime.

He was groundbreaking, instead of making useless club songs and generic love songs like 95% of rap now (which are complete garbage) he questioned the world. he made us look at how cops treat minorities (before Rodney King, when ppl didnt really know) he questioned the state of the country, the government, what was wrong in the streets, and could it even ever change.
He was one of the only rappers ever to share his weakness. He put his true thoughts on a song, his hopes, his fears, his pain, what brings him to tears. He acknowleged a contradictory society in his mixture of positive proactive verses and the raw anger of someone that had suffered too much in a life time.
He was as charismatic and likable as anyone in music in rap ever. He did interviews as well as politicians, he could build vivid scenarios and make clever, acessable metaphors to explain how he saw the world.
If nothing else, as far as the music goes, there is something in his voice nobody will match. Whether its hope to the kids, fear of dying, or clubs and women, whatever his topic was there was a passion and intensity in his voice like he didnt write songs he put what he felt in a song, and you could feel that in his voice, in the strength, confidence, and emotion.
If nothing else, as a grown man, no song by anyone in any genre has made me shed a tear..except for 2pac.

but anyone born much after 1984 - 1986 are too young to get the full 2pac experience and are just jumping on a trend (like when in doubt, its always cool to like Kurt Cobain or Bob Marley)
Although I am tired of rappers riding his coat tails.

But if nothing else, show some damn respect girl. Its the 10th anniversary of his death today (well yesterday)

well first off if you would really sit down and listen to his music a lot of it has meaning and will help some people get threw bad and good times. Yeah I know some songs suck but every rapper (singer) has that. Oh and remember most of us are leaders!
