Of course, especially if you consider the fact that the very existence of humans is a extreme stretch of the natural order to begin with. Not to mention existence of other oddities we currently see in the world ie 2 headed snakes and turtles, humans with extra body parts and a variety of other mutations. Mythological creatures are not such a far fetch.

I don't personally believe that mythical creatures exist, but I have a really good friend who is extremely adamant that fairies exist. Kind of funny, I know.

No in the sense that this is why they are called mythical, because they don't exist.

However, there are some animals out there that do have some features of mythical creatures, and also some animals that are real, but seem like they could be mythical, check out the birds of paradise, http://www.montereybay.com/creagrus/bop.html

They don't seem like they are real, but they are.

not in the sense of what people think you are asking. Yes I believe that there are entities out there that other people would say was just mythical. Maybe they only appear to the people that bother to believe in them. Not to the mean people that are mean natured.

Mythical often means "just a story", in which case, no. But if you're talking about dragons and unicorns.....thats something else

certainly, There must be somebody to believe in most everything. Mythical or mystical, its something for them to hope for, or perhaps a view not necessarily reality is easier for them. Hence dragons, elves, vampires, etc.

they have figured out that the legends of dragons were fostered by the bones of dinosaurs, im not sure how they got the unicorn though, and many other blended animals, i think its possible that some of these things existed in another plane thats very close to ours, was closer to our plane years ago and we are drifting away from it, after all even albert einstine thought there were at least 15 dimensions of reality.

Yeah they are called atheists!

No mth is fake. However there are theorized things unfound yet. Take for example Darwin's moth (link below). Darwin believed there was a moth with a long straw just because there was a flower with the nectar deep down. I guess an atheist decide to create the two for eachother.
