Yes Capricorn's immediately assume that they are right and it is mostly by the males of that sign. It's normal for them. But, what isn't normal is that they will often reach a point where they truly believe they are right in matters they haven't a clue about. Most of them are very stubborn and perceptions of things are rather stilted with conviction rather than reasoning.
Of course you must allow for other planetary influences which will allow other attitudes and characteristics to be balanced. However, Capi's want the truth, and if you didn't come forth up-front with the truth of any given situation then, you are certainly in for some stormy unpredictable consequences. Capi's will drive themselves pathetically crazy to find the truth of a given condition if it is worthy of their attention. If you were deceitful in any manner with them they know it or they will find out the truth and you have gained an adversary rather than a friend.
I have met Capricorn's whom are very well balanced and those that are not. In fact the closer to the Pieces sign they are the loonier they get, and reasoning is out the window. Some will listen to reason and want to work out a resolution though, and others will just plain ignore what you have been saying for the last twenty minutes and you are wasting your time. Have you ever tried moving a 500 pound horse that doesn't want to go with you?

Well my wife the Capricorn is almost never wrong :) Although, you have to practically walk through hell to prove it them. Of course, then again, I'm a Leo and I don't bend so easily either :)

I think I answered another Cap question of yours... and my answers basically the same. They are naturally authoritative, so yeah, they tend to think they are right! They can even be downright domineering, but just try telling them that.
I suggested as much to a friend of mine andf she just straightened her back, raised her chin and pronounced calmly, "I'm a leader. I"ve always been a leader. It's one of my best traits". I told this to a mutual friend of mine and he nearly fell over laughing, it was so typical of her to say something like that...
