That is a very good question, and anyone who asks you for your source(s) just isn't paying attention or they've been on a deserted island for the past decade or so.
If we try and fight a war against these psycho, lunatic, cold blooded Islamic terrorist murderers from the high ground - the war will last forever. We do not have to lower ourselves to their level, but neither do we have to leave ourselves open to their murder and mayhem.
Anyways, I would think that you would have to at least act human to be entitled to human rights.

Wow...you know in Iraq you would be a great Al-Qaeda operative. They love a quick beheading of innocent people. They have no legal process, so it's a lot quicker...so what if the people beheaded didn't do anything.
Liberals...(speaking of myself in third person) believe that every person is entitled to protection under the LAW...remember the LAW...that which should not be broken whenever we think it's convenient.
Look we have a lot of folks locked up, tortured, and basically not charged with any crime. You know this could happen to any of us. Sure that may be a farfetched notion, but we are a nation of laws and certainly if we have imprisoned people, we should be able to charge them with something and run the process to establish guilt or innocence.
What's wrong with supporting our Laws??? Seems like a pretty conservative thing to do....

The Nazis started of persecuting the communist and nobody objected and then they persecuted the Jews and and the gypsies nobody objected, and finally when the got around to persecuting Christians there was nobody left to object. A government that denies civil rights to one group can deny civil rights to everybody.
And that is why "liberals" are concerned about rights.

because liberals believe that we should act civilized and "because they did it" is a reason most of us should have outgrown in the 3rd grade...
if we don't act better than they do... can we really condone many of their actions if we are acting like animals too?
see the problem is... when people like you start doing things, which is clearly what this administration is doing, those in the middle east go "see they are animals, they talk about being better but act just like animals" and then they dehumanize us just like you dehumanize them... at that point, they have won a major victory... they have dragged us down to their level...
someone at some point has to step up and be the bigger person here... the American way is civility and a fair trial... anything else would make the forefathers be very ashamed of what we have become...

Because we are the champions of human rights ... you believe in your own rights ... don't you? Then believe in everybody else's too, let our history of law and justice determine who is guilty, that is what America is all about.
They judge us and have no hesitation about killing us but we are better than them ... let's keep it that way ... no one can defeat us then.
It's not hard to figure out ... if we think and act like them we become the same as them. Stupid .. huh ... duh ?

PS Doesn't mean that I don't sometimes think that we should just nuke the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan with high radiation, low destructive bombs that would have them all dying of radiation poisoning ... yeah, that would give them terror if that is what they believe in ... big time terror... nuke em where they live make the locality radioative .
But, we don't want to kill the innocent like they do. Yeah, I'm angry too , but not hateful.

They support it because it will help destroy America. They want the terrorist to have full access to all information. Information they can use to plan and execute attacks on America. They feel that a terrorist is on the same level as a solider from a nation. The liberals will twist reality anyway they can to help destroy America.

Once you start taking rights away from any one group that opens the flood gate to other people losing rights. I think terrorists need to pay for their crimes but doing it in a dehumanizing way only puts us at their level.

Liberals have their priorities a bit messed up. It seems like the way they see it is "terrorists are people too" - which they are, but they should still be punished harshly for committing crimes against humanity and against fellow citizens.

im liberal but i think the US legal system is ****... i beleive we should look at other countries and follow their punishments... but no theres always these assholes that say "no were americans we cant do that" i think terrorists should get their wish n b killed or we should send them to a federal prison for the rest of their lives.
