During the course of work, I ran across a woman named "Tera". No one except her mother would know how to spell it correctly.

Yep. My name is Katherine and there are least four normal ways to spell it.

The thing is, I don't care how they spell my name when I'm ordering a smoothie, but they always ask! Cuz it is always pronounced the same.

As long as Tera is pronounced like it looks, I don't care how unusual it is! The name that tripped me up the most was once I worked with a Gena, pronounced Jenna.

Unfortunately, yes. My name is actually spelled the way it sounds grammatically however most people can't spell it. That's what makes this "new" world really sad. People don't know how to use grammar.

Even though my name is relatively easy, people will still get it wrong. My name is Essence, but some people will spell it Essente or Esence. Really annoying. My name's in the dictionary. It's not that hard, right?

all the time cause i was named after both of my grandmother and one name is so exotic, people hardly pronounce it correct. so i ended spelling it for them. even my mom in law always make mistake writing it, that is the main reason why she changed my name into something shorty and americanize plus easy to call out.
