If you're a fan, what is your favorite song or movie.
I'd actually prefer answers from people who grew up during that age more than youngsters who think they know...

I didn't grow up in the 80's but I was poor and grew up like an 80s kid. And by the way, check clothing stores- its making a comeback, leg warmers are back in style and of course that means...flashdancing.

I think my favorite 80s movie was either "Weird Science" or "16 candles" (which I still love to this day, funniest teenage comedy of all time!)

Music wise, The Cure's "Lovesong" is a classic that is still great today, as well as their song "Just Like Heaven" The Culture Club's "Karma Kameleon" is great, "Walk like an Egyptian" by the bangles is hillarious! And a-ha's "Take on me" still lives on to this day!

Other 80s songs that i can't go without mentioning Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the heart" Cyndi Laupers "She-bop" and Alice Cooper's "Poison" is still considered, by me, the best metal song of all time.

Hair bands kicked major butt and the 80s are coming back "YAY!"

I'm only 16, but I've seen and heard enouh 80s things for me to be my mother's age. If I was a teenagers from the 80s I would have to say that I would really miss it. The 80s had some of the best movies and songs of the 20th century. I liked the clothes back then, though I think they were at little extreme.

Favorite songs from the 80s is Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears and Take on Me by Ah-ha.
Favorite movies from the 80s are major cliches(but I really love them): Sixteen Candles and the Breakfast Club

I never got over the 80's. Great lifestyle, great music. 80's is about being big. Big hair, big puffy sleeves, big oversized tops, big stereo. Not forgetting the ever famous breakdancing.

Favourite songs (oh my, where do i start): Bad English When I see you Smile. Bangles Eternal flame. Pat Benetar Love is a Battlefield. Warrent Heaven. Blondie One way or another. Depeche mode Somebody. Eagles Hotel California. Fleetwood Mac Sara. Debbie Gibson Lost in your eyes and of course Wham! Wake me up b4 you go go. All of Bon Jovi, Guns n Roses, Phil Collins, Duran Duran and U2.

Favourite Movie: Back to the Future. All the horror movies like Nightmare on Elm Street, Goonies, Gremlins, American Werewolf, Poltergeist, Ghostbusters (I think the 80s have the greatest horror movies). Blue Lagoon. Dirty Dancing. and of course the Star Wars Trilogy.

Well I am a fan, even though I was born in 82. I loved the Garbage pail kids, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, The Goonies, The Breakfast club, Can't buy me love, Labyrinth, and Weird Science, and I was a fan of Jeferson Starship.

I was a huge fan of the 80's, but am really over the whole trying to bring back the 80's today. Just kinda rediculous, we are supposed to be moving forwards, not backwards.

The 80's was pretty good. The 70's now that was a horrific decade! I still have a picture of me at the junior prom wearing my white John Travolta disco suit. Lord help me! My sisters keep the negatives so each time I try to burn it they make a new copy.
My favorite group of the 80's was Huey Lewis and the News. The sports album I loved. Movie would be TOP GUN. I still like to watch it on my big screen TV with surround sound.

Well, I technically grew up in the early 90s but I do remember a lot from the 80s and I'm torn. I loved the "Hair Bands" and "brat Pack" movies. I loved the big hair and always wanted it. But I'm glad it's over now because I believe that's when HIV/AIDS was spread the worst because there was so little education and the education out there was very biased. Now we are more educated, and although it is still spreading too rapidly, we are more educated and people have more of a chance to survive longer thanks to medical breakthroughs.

I really don't have a favorite song, but I have favorite groups like Loverboy, Night Ranger, Asia and .38 Special. My favorite movies from this era are "The Last Emperor", "The Untouchables", "Full Metal Jacket" (1987 seems like a good year for movies) and of course a lot of the John Hughes films. "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" is definitely the standard for teen movies.

Listening to Kishore Kumar songs , one will know that such a singer or music or lyrics or combination of all those doesn't exist now.....even youngsters will agree this and even actors like amitabh is not there now..so, one has to come out with positive things from old times.....OLD WAS GOLD...If i am given a chance, i would love to go back 50-60 years, where there was no pollution a sof now, or entertainment as of now, people at that time were never lazy as of now and more over nature was so beauitiful not like now...
