WHO is your math teacher? I think he/she needs some "feedback!" Either that or you need to move to the front of the class and START LISTENING & asking questions when you don't understand! Do your tables, & plot your points via the coordinates given! The accepted, universal convention is (x,y) so follow the "horizontal" x-axis then up or down the y-axis. Does this help?

Take some x and y values. Pair them up, one x with one y.

Then draw the horizontal x-axis and the vertical y-axis crossing.
