I have a 3 week old baby and I've noticed that his left eye is brown and his right eye is a grayish bluish color. I even brought it to his pediatricians attention to see if maybe I'm imagining things and she said his other eye is def lighter than his other. she said he might be unique and have one eye lighter than the other but we wont know for sure until around the age of 9 months. has anyone expierenced anything like this with their newborn before or had a kid with one eye one color and the other a different one?

I wouldn't fret about it. Eye color in newborns is not permanent, and most likely the baby's eyes will become the same color within a few months. If not, then you've still got two beautiful eyes to look into and you'll love him just the same!

i think one of my younger cousins was born that way. not to worry, if the baby has lighter colored eyed parents then most likely they will go to the color they are supposed to be in a few months. if not i am sure that you won't really be able to tell once the baby gets older. i have a 5 month old and his eyes are starting to lighten up a bit....they were dark at first, so you never can tell. don't be worried, the baby can see right? that is the most important thing

My daughter had fairly darkish brown and nonetheless has a depressing brown.i imagine maximum newborns are born with gray blue eyes and there's no thanks to foretell what colour they are going to finally end up. If she is round 5 months i imagine that if her eyes are gray she has a sturdy possibility they are going to stay a mild colour. Your eye colour is the gentle reflecting of the pigment on your eye. The extra pigment the darker the interest colour. the a lot less pigment the lighter the colour. i'm not particular yet i'd not imagine that she would not get extra pigment in her eyes then she might want to have at 5 or 6 months.

I haven't had experience with this specific problem, but babies' eye color doesn't become permanent until they are about 1 yr old. If he does end up with two different eye colors (and this isn't terrible, it is not uncommon,) and it bothers you or he, you can purchase tinted contact lenses for him to wear. But for now, just enjoy your beautiful new child and try not to worry too much. Not that THAT'S possible! Let him decide when he gets older if it bothers him or not. Children are very adaptable.

I was born with one brown and one blue. My mom said that I was almost a year old when the blue one turned brown and thats how they have stayed. Its nothing to worry about. One of them will end of changing.

I went to school with a guy that had two different eye colours. I thought it was neat, actually I thought he was really hot. As far as I know he had no problems with eye sight.

Not my kid, but with a woman I worked with. It seemed strange at first, but then we got used to it and it was unusual but nice.
