do you have to freestyle or can u write your rhymes when ur makin a mixtape?

i need to know casue my friend says that i need to freestyle and freestylin ias not my strong point i can do it its just that i feel better if i write them cause i come off harder

Do like biggie used to. He'd freestyle write, meaning he'd come up with rhymes on the spot, but not with a beat. Then he'd lay down what he wrote over the beat.
