I'm not sure. It seems the more I think about the "why" in life, the less it makes sense. This is proven by the constant arguments going on in a Yahoo! Answers, for example. What do you guys think?

False dichotomy, I like that. As far as magic, that is also unknown. Furthermore, things seem less known the more they are looked at--Kind of like repeating a word until it looses it's meaning.

"Worry" was the wrong word. "Ponder" might make an acceptable substitute.

Well the "why" unknown is very important in life. Without the why we could not correct the past for the future. With out the why we would have no cures for disease. Without the whys would be more ignorant than a moment age. This is how the human race grows and learns. When I was 10 asking "why" you had to make your bed its just gonna get un maid again. My mother told me "well why wipe your butt when you crap its just gonna get dirty again?" See this is how we learn we ask why and get answers. I dont think we should cease until we get answers

Your question presents a false dichotomy, that we must either worry about the unknown or accept it. I prefer the third way, namely trying to make the unknown, known! I believe we can do that for many questions, not just scientific, through rational thought and the scientific method. Recognize speculation and magical thinking for what they are, and what you'll be left with will be much closer to the truth.

If you take care of today in the right way, then you wouldn't have to worry about the "why" of tomorrow. Of course, you could get hit by a car or something like that. In general, don't worry the "why" of tomorrow. Just live and enjoy.

why worry or even think about it? the absorption of reason demands no explanation nor any objections. accept what is, how is, why is... reason with respect, approach with humility, respond in kind. there is no reason to seek the argument... but believing in it's existence, embracing it's truth... that is the path towards wisdom...
