Can being in love and not being able to do anything about it actually make a person sick? Can this happen?

most of the answers you have already are right on,..the mind controls the body,..and it can make you feel sick. The trick to this i think is to make your mind not think of the pain of not having what you want with them,...but the joy of what you have already had.

Emotions can do funny things to a person, and if you are upset enough about something, it can make you physically sick. Our emotions and mental health are very tightly connected to our physical health. Being love sick may not "kill you" exactly... but it can lead to depression if not handled well and that can lead to suicide. It's best to take care of ones self as best as possible!

It sure does feel like it sometimes but no it will get better in time as everyone says. Sad but true. Tomorrow is another day and some one does have it worse then you. Always try to remember that!!!!

yes pschcologically it can kill you. your mind is very powerful. it can make you believe anything. like love-sickness affecting physical health

yes it can. it can make you depressed and often with older people can cause them to die from a lonely heart. usually due to a spouse dieing. it can cause stomach problems like ulcers and acid reflex, it can even on set eating disorders. now really there's no scientific proof that ive heard of anyway to this but ive seen it and heard of it happening to people.
