Edinho Choldi do Nascimento, son of ex-football player PELE was sadly involved in some drug related issues on June 05. Pele is someone who we look up to as roll model, hopefully we will still have him as a roll model taking his advice "maybe I worked to much in my life and did not realize the problem I had in my house" and follow Pope Benedict XVI advice on working less.

i'm not sure if he still is or not but i think it's a sad story. it really is important to spend time with your family but Pele was probably always out training, and playing games and what not. it's not really his fault that his son was involved with drugs. but if he didn't work hard to become a footballer he wouldn't be known as..."Pele, the KING of football" i don't blame Pele, if i were his kid, i'd be so honoured. haha. really though

even though it is a sad news but the most important thing is : it is Pele's son not Pele himself who was involved. As far as I am or any "true" Brasilian fan is concerned, Pele is and will always remain our Role Model. For instance, take a look at what Zidane did: the "so called" legend (the title given to him by the French Football fans)? It was Zidane who got involved in the headbutting not Zidane's son.

He was held in jail for 6 months I believe and was released in December of 2005, then in February of 2006 he was arrested yet again with drug traffic charges yet again, and that is the last I have heard of Edinho.
