It was an ok movie and yes it was a sad love story. Those two guys loved each other and due to their own stupidity they weren't together. All they had to do was move west to San Francisco and they could have been a happy couple. The only reason this movie was nominated for all those awards was because it was about 2 gay guys, like the other person said they've been making lesbian movies for a long time.

You can but honestly most people where so shocked and closed mined about the movie that they only want to point out the "gays"....heck there have been plenty of movies with lesbians in them and people didn't care....its' not OK to for a gay movie?
Sorry I ranted but yes I would call it a sad love story that points out aspects of life that people want to ignore.

I was told that it was a "love story" too and it was. But I believe that, in every GOOD love story, someone dies. Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story, Brokeback, etc.

it's a sad loving story about true love, does not matter if it is a gay movie, the love that counts

I thought it was extremely sad.

I mean how isn't it sad? Jack dies! and I think that anytime (movie or not) that someone dies it's sad.
