With globalisation doing its magic on developing countries like India...every thing is changing...the culture which has been prevalent for centuries is changing..with call centres and BPOs flourishing the standard of living is also going up...with all these our definition of family is also changing..today family does not mean parents and children..it may also mean two strangers living together....and after some months or years..if they start liking each other they may get married..if not then go in different directions...my question is..is this kind of relationship good for a country like India which has given the whole world the presise definition of how a family has to be? Why are we blindly following the western culture?Isnt the ancient Indian culture at stake?Isnt this not giving way to crime like the murder of Tania who was a call center employee in Bangalore???What do u think..I would like serious answers from Indian folks

Living together culture is borrowed from westeren culture.
People who are busy in work have found that this is one method of living. This is good, provided the partners have decided to get married. The positive aspect is that the partners can understand each other better.
Living together without commitment for marriage will lead to several peoblems in future. The future husband or wife comes to know that their partners had lived together earlier with sombody else, psychological problems will arise.

Your concern is well timed. Live in relationships are usually preferred by men & women who do not want to commit themselves to their partners for lifetime & in eastern countries like India, where pre marital sex is looked down upon & family has high importance in one's life they are a bit odd. But with the percolation of western culture & education, they are becoming mroe prevalant where men & women are working together away from their families. In Indian context this kind of relationship is doing more harm to women as Indian men are still not as broad minded as western ones & might not accept to marry a girl who has had premarital sex with another person. There is still lot of social stigma attached to it. So before one decides to move into a live in relatioship one should consider all pros & cons in Indian context. Personally I do not oppose or favour this issue because its a matter of individual choice.

in india though we r running and following western culture, but living together is not much accepted concept as our values r very strong. why does a boy and a girl want to stay together? why not get married and take d responsibility. marriage no doubt needs, a lot of compromises, so instead of running accept d challenge to make ur marriage successful. in living together no one has any bonding, d day u feel u cant get along u part, but for d society it is very wrong example.

We are stuggling with a cultural dysfunction. we talk hours togather about morality, but most of us want to break it. Yes. any move which is EVIL can never take us closer to GOD. LIVING togather is aganist the true value of GOD. If a man and women live togather, it is impossible to keep the purity of their both. It is equal to trying to hold burning coal with our fingers. surly it will burn the fingers. Still marriage is the strongest institution which is established on the earth. BPO culture may make one person WEALTHY , but it can not provide moral solutions to a person who want to ruin oneself by immoral ways.

Why do people want to live in together??? Iam sure because they want eachother's company, Then why not get married instead. I feel that the live in relationships are for the cowards who do not want to face realities . It is like trying to own something but choosing to rent it instead. The benefits are denied is you refuse to face the problems
