oh gee out of 3 movies you want to base it all on incest because of two kisses and hand holding? wow...
Their kiss was not a lustful give me some action kiss. And hand holding? I still hold my sisters hand sometimes... and we are 24 and 20. We just are very close. Sometimes we have to call eachother sister so people don't think we are lesbians, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

It's not about incest. The fact is neither of them knew at the time that they were siblings when they kissed on Hoth. At the end of Return of the Jedi, she tells Han that she loves Luke and that he is her brother. To which Han smiles and is happy with.
On a broader note, the story is about the redemption of the soul of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) and fighting for freedom.

Here's a recap: neither Luke nor Leia knew they were related to begin with but have a feeling they had a "connection" that was familiar ~ family (?)
By the end of the trilogy, Leia's suspicions were confirmed in that Luke really was her long lost fraternal twin brother, which explains their connection & familiarity with one another.

Yes I agree. When I saw the movie the first thing I told my brother was that Luke and Leah are brother and sister and when I said that his face went sour. I thought it was hilarious, but true. Some people don't realize that.

She doesn't know they're brother and sister at that point in time. She does not kiss him later on in the end either. You're confused. Besides, incest would be them having sex. Which they definitely don't do.

Well, at least they cut out the gay love scene between Luke and Darth Vader (even though they left in all the suggestive banter about each other's light sabers).
The original line in Part -VI was, "I am your LOVER, Luke", but they decided to change it to "I am your Father" - which really changed the plot of the whole series!

I don't agree at all. Incest my butt! Star Wars; every one of them, were great movies! I wonder how people's minds work sometimes. Are they just looking for something to be wrong about something? Are they judging? As for the movie, they didn't know at the time. I hope this helps.

Well, Luke and Leia didn't know they were related at the time.
Now, if they HAD known and they still went in for the long and deep french kiss, then, yeah, that would have been VERY icky.

she didn't know that they were brother and sister until return of the jedi. even at such a young age i remember when luke told leia that he was her brother, i was cool, then going "THAT IS SO GROSS!!! THEY FRENCHED KISSED EACH OTHER!!"
yeah, i guess you can say that incest is a bit of an issue in the trilogy......
