I think Harry has a 50 – 50 chance. I could see him dying, I honestly don’t think Jo will base her decision just because she think fans will hate her. I personnel don’t think fans will, the others who have died were beloved by many fans as well.

Possibly. Rowling doesn't seem to want other people to write Harry Potter books in the future. Killing Harry off would kind of ensure that there wouldn't be any non-Rowling sequels. I sort of doubt that she will kill him off, because of the effect it would have on her devoted fans. I, personally, would rather go into reading the last book with an open mind, instead of all of these theories that are sprouting up all over the place.

from the rumors i've heard, he's gonna die. J.K. Rowling don't want any other author to write about HP later when she died.
anyway, i hope Hermione Granger will live!
i am not a Potterhead, just a Hermionehead! LOL

I am hoping he doesn't. After the "major" death in the last one I was so freaked...I did cry...
I sure want to see Snape die. It would be cool if she ended the series like the whole story was a flash back before peace came to Hogwarts - or something like that...say Harry on his first day as headmaster reflecting back...or maybe you know that draping doorway the Ministry of Magic his god father goes thru...make it possible for his parents to come back thru...something as amazingly positive since the ending of the half-blood prince was so sad.

I really don't think it matters. There were hints in the other books that there is a pathway between life and death...so he could go on, even being dead and could communicate with his parents, Sirius and Dumbledore.
Also, come on, Snape is not bad, he's been protecting Harry all along. Yes, it's true he did not like Harry's dad, but he respected Dumbledore and Dumbledore trusted him. I believe him and Dumbledore planned the death, if Dumbledore is even dead. I also believe that Neville is actually the chosen one and not Harry.

Nah. Rowling is basically a traditionalist in her story telling, she wouldn't do something that outrageous, killing off the hero is pretty non-traditional in approach...
Dumbledore and Sirius died, but they were in the honoured tradition of the Mentor dies so the Student steps up into the action faster. And the various threats/one death of Harry's same-age peers are just for added suspense, more or less.

Isn't that scary, but that's exactly what I heard too...killing off the main character is no way to end this series. A writer of her quality should be able to come up with something more original than that.

I think that JK plans to bring out a very important character in 7th book. R.A.B by the name. And this character will not allow Harry to die. I am sure of it. I just wonder who it is.

I hope not. From what I understand, JK Rowling has not even written the 7th book yet. So, she's not 100% sure either!
If he died, it would just be such a letdown! In most great literature, the hero lives.

They had an interveiw with the person who wrote them and she said he did. I'm not into harry potter that all that much but i think he should live. Kindda sad. I've seen all the movies and think they're cool. But if she wants him to die he's going to die. Whatever.
