i heard there was some way to adjust the shift points for a TH350 trans.? right now it shifts at 4,000 rpms...i want it to shift at 5. how do i do that?

You can buy different weights and springs to change the setpoints. You will have to take the governor out of the transmission to change these. Its pretty simple though

Either you have to shift it manually, or change the weights in the transmissions governor. Its the roundish cap on the side of the trans. You can get kits from companies like b and m.

ITS ALL IN THE VALVE BODY ANY SPEED SHOP OR THE BACK OF ANY HOT ROD MAG U WILL SEE SOME FROM B&M TRANSMISSIONS DO IT RIGHT SO YOUR NOT REPLACING DRIVESHAFTS EVERTIME IT SHIFTS OK ITS ALL IN THE VALVE BODE NEED TO REPRGRAM IT AND ITS A KIT YOU CAN EVEN PUT A STALL SPEED CONVERTER BUT THATS FOR SERIOUS RACER ONLY THAT KNOW WHAT THERE DOING LOOK IN THE MAGS YOU SHALL FIND ,

install a shift kit that is designed for holding shift points at higher rpm`s

if your trans is newer and you have electronic shifting you can reprogram it to shift later ...if not you can get a higher stall speed torque converter

call directory assistance for goodland, kansas. the dudes name is tom purvis. he could build a turbo 350 to do anything you want. ask him about "purvisizing" your tranny. i assume he is still alive. if he is...he can help.
