To me this is a felony faux pas! Don't they get it that an event is going on?! You need to see the 1st show and the important last show?

I'm guessing they don't watch the shows and just wanted to talk to you. They probably didn't have a clue they were even on.

why dont you just call everyone before hand and let them know you're not going to answer the phone when your shows are on.

You could try not answering the phone.
