You need to go see your doc for check-up. It would be difficult to diagnose without proper testing. FYI: if your blood is bright red it could be from a fissure or hemorrhoid, if it is dark red then it would be blood from higher up in your intestine. Either way, go have a test done, ASAP.

If it's fresh, red blood and your butt hurts, it's probably just a haemorrhoid. If it's dark blood it's likely to be a stomach ulcer or an intestine or colon issue and potentially more serious.

Either way, head off to the doctor. He will probably want a stool sample, but don't just take one along on the off-chance; they don't like that.

It's not serious but the best thing you can do is let it pass. You might just be having a stool (poo) that is burning and it tends to make you bleed a bit when you wipe due to the fact it's sensitive with the current problem you have. You might just have to use cream if the problem persists any longer or it gets worse but don't worry it's nothing serious.

Actually, it's not all that uncommon. Sometimes when you have a bowel movement, some of the very sensitive tissues in the anus or rectum are irritated, or can even tear, causing bleeding. Also, the bleeding might be caused from a hemorrhoid inside the rectum that was irritated causing bleeding. If you are having abdominal pains that is accompanying the bleeding, or if you notice that your stool is black or tarry colored, then you should call your doctor ASAP, or go the hospital emergency room.

First off they'll do a rectal exam to look for blood and hemorrhoids.. stick it on a hemicult card, and make sure there is blood there.
If it bright red, it is lower gi, dark upper gi.
then perhaps colonoscopy/upper endoscopy.

I have had that before. It's a hemorrhoid. If it continues for more than a week, then you should be concerned.

You could have a possible stomach ulcer. You should go to your doctor immediately so they can find a way to help you!!

It could be a sign of something serious or it could just be a ruptured hemorroid. Either way, you should see a doctor.
