There is a book you need to pick up called " Don't go to the cosmetic counter without me" that will give you the real scoop on what is worth it and works and what is just hype. Knowing your skin type is important. Wash your face EVERY night, exfoliate once a week, mask once a week, boil a pot of water and put a towel over your head and steam our face once a week and then use a mild astringent right before your pores close up. If you have acne, get to a dermatologist and get on a low dose of Bactrim (antibiotic for acne). Keep your hands off your face, wash your pillow case at least every four days and clean your makeup brushes weekly with Woolite. Clean your phone with alcohol weekly too. Check your ingredients on your products to make sure they are non-comegenic. Use blot paper for oil to absorb oil and to touch-ups during the day. Powder will just trap oil which just block pores. Leave the makeoff on the weekend if you can to give your face some fresh air. The book I mentioned earlier is awesome and will save you lots money.

Oh...always was your makeup of before you work out.

Good luck!

If you have sensetive skin, nuetrogena is very good and mild. If you have acne prone sking you might want to try one of the Clearasil cleansers, or one of the many others for acne prone skin. Just as long as you use a face cleanser, and the proper one for you skin type you should be fine. Never use deoderant or antibacterial soap on you face, they are too harsh and will dry your skin out. Also it is never too early to start using an eye cream and an oil free moisterizer on your face. Never ever ever go to bed with make up on, that is the best thing you can do for your skin. Be gentle when you wash it, over scrubbing, hot water, and harsh soaps wil irritate skin. Also keepping you hands off your face helps if you have acne. the oils from your hand will transfer to your face. same thing goes for hair, thats why u see some poeple with bangs and they have acne on their forehead.

Unfortunately, you sometimes have to experiment around a lot before you find a product that's right for you; could be something very inexpensive works fine for you; try Neutrogena, which you can get at Wal-Mart, or try Burt's Bees products. Try natural ingredients, like olive oil, and vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers, also things with grapefruit in it. Also one of the hard parts is not to touch your skin--no matter what product you use, if you can't stop touching your skin, the problems won't go away. Good luck!

Neutrogena, Oil Of Olay, and Clearasil. I think for clear skin you have to pay a little. The best acne product that don't dry your skin out is Aveeno Clear Complexion Cleanser. It is around 7 dollars.

Clearasil pore cleansing toner is ok...if u need to put powder on your face(not makeup),try Johnson&Johnson's face powder,it doesn't contain loads of ingredients like those of makeup.Exfoliate once week too.I recommend St.IVes apricot scrub, the one that looks like a jar...it can last for quite some time since your gonna use it only once a week anyway.

YES! Go to www.acne.org. Honestly, it changed my skin. You can buy the stuff that is recommended, but it is stressed that you don't HAVE to. They tell you what to look for at the store. Also, pay attention to the technique. That's the key, I truly believe.
