Just wondering what your thoughts are. I'm a fan of many rappers, Nas, The Notorius B.I.G., Mobb Deep, Tupac, Dre, Jay Z, old Ice Cube, etc. I know many things about each one of them, I'm a black guy who grew up with rap and learned about the drama that went down with them all. But, I don't understand why Tupac is considered the best rapper of all time? I know about his mother, his history, etc, just like I know about everyone elses. But why Tupac?

Please Enlighten me. I'll let you know who I think the best one is later. And I'll reveal why I think people pick Tupac after your responses.

Uhm,last time I checked...there really isn't any rapper w/that title. Everyone has their preference. Some like Tupac & Biggie, others consider Jay Z to be the best. It's an opinion, not a written/known fact. I honestly think you're not seeing that these are opinions...nothing more. We don't have to agree, simply respect.

Because Tupac's words were words that touches everything in life, Tupac sings about the true beauty of life and death. Tupac R. I. P.

Because when he was rapping its like he was really talking through his soul and that he was giving apart himself to you (his audience). He may not be the best lyicist (although he was sick!) but when he spoke people really felt him. and still do.
