My boy can't breath and so.. to the hospital we ran but.... the weeks go by and there is no way in sight out of all the bills and we still can't go home. In RD there was a Doctor that said that the problem with American medicen is people who can't aford it still get itso does that mean that the rich are the only ones who have the right to live any more? Yet (unlike me) some people don't think they have to pay. Tell me what you think and what you would do

Well, that seems to be the plan the Republicans have in mind, citing the fact that there is nothing in the constitution that guarantees adequate medical care to all. Of course, medical care as we know it had not developed at that time.
Even fifty years ago, one could have a week's hospital stay, no insurance and get out for less than a thousand bucks, but times, they are a changin'.
The uninsured are subsidizing the insurance companies. The system is so mucked up, it will have to crater before there is sufficient motivation to actually effect reasonable changes. I could go on for a long time on this subject. It makes me nauseous. My premie ran up a bill of a quarter of a million dollars!
One option you do have is to go to the financial department once he is out and bargain the bill down to what the least paying insurance company would have to pay, usually significantly less than half of the bill. But you have to keep up with the payments or the fee reverts back to full payment.

move to canada seriously do it pay the taxes but never worry about doctors bills
