it's really sad, no, it's worse than sad, it's atrocious. they should have made it into a park first and then they could have taken their time to make a proper memorial but because some greedy person or group owns it they'd rather have it look like a, whatever it is they call it when it's nothing but a eyesore, then to even try and show some respect and honor for those that died there.

The footings for the new Freedom Tower were laid this past spring, and the first steel should arrive in November. The Freedom Tower should be open in 2011. The memorial park will be at ground level, instead of 7 stories below, as originally planed.

First off there is a memorial reflecting pool there and by 2010 there should be construction beginning there! I think that with this horrible tragedy and the billions lost that out of respect for the dead and their families New York is in no hurry to remove the memory that changed the way we view our precious freedom!

There are plans to build the new tower of liberty which is architecturally fascinating. There has been much fuzz about a new construction b/c people feel its a sacred place that should be devoted to the resting souls of the deceased, but the new tower will be ready by 2012.

Freedom tower world trade center will stand 102 stores plus a 414 feet tall spire totaling 1,776 feet...There will be 7 new world trade center buildings. Work is already under way.

thay said on the news on the 5th aniversery that thay was trying to get the money up for the mamorial. thay have on piece of metel from the building thats suposed to be on site or being put back on site. but who cares thats not exactly something i want to remember the day are country was humiliatyated because are dumb news ppl told the terrorists what kinda plane thay would need to destroy them building thay said it all the time so.. i wont go on any more though cause i dont want to get reported

They want to build the perfect memorial on it and nobody can agree what that would look like. I definitely think that they should get a memorial put up!

I heard they are supposed to start this year and finish by 2010.

i beleve that the goverment has not done anything there because they do not whant to face the fact that there stupid asses let this happen and buy rebuilding something it like reliving it and they dont whant to remeber how they f@#$%d up
