I do. But, why hasn't the American government shut these scammers down ? Faith healing is an obvious fraud. It can be tested scientifically to not work.

Messing with religion is a touchy subject for politicians here in the USA. Faith healing is obviously a fraud but messing with such a large voter base is the kiss of death. As long as these evangelist keep it to prayer, rants, and shouting at the sky they are safe riping off innocent and desperate people. If nothing is ingested the FDA will not interfere and with no physical intervention the AMA will also back off. Currently we have a government actually supported by these individuals so don't expect any changes soon.

I don't know about those on tv, and you may not believe me when I say this but I have seen first hand the faith healing of people. I was in the Philippines and there was a girl who had been deaf from birth, never said a word in her life, her mom was there to verify, we prayed for her and as soon as we were done, she was able to hear and the first word that came out of her mouth was Jesus. So I believe in faith healing, don't tell me it can be tested scientifically not to work because I have seen it!

It seems that it generally is a scam. However, it may be possible for there to be non-fraudulant faith healing based on psychosomatic effects -- that is, your mind has some control over your body. If you believe something will heal you, it may do so to some extent. That's why when they do drug testing and give half the people sugar pills, some of them still get better.

Still, I think televangelists are just collecting money.

There are quite a lot of fakers but I do believe that some human healers are real.

I don't see where you get your idea from that it has been scienifically proven not to work. There have been lots of documented cases of people being healed but it just doesn't measure up to the standards that "whoever" says it must.
I think it's hard to test though.
In most cases I think the tested ones fail due to skepticism and stress and the "bad vibes" from the people trying to test it.

People should use common sense if they're going to pay for someone to heal them and go to someone through word of mouth. Haven't you heard of that John of God guy?

I know that a lot of Religious people are frauds because they want to make their religion seem good but spiritual people are another thing.

anybody is claiming to accomplish wonderful presents in the present day (and that i visit declare it besides as i will) they are being decieved. The wonderful presents that have been given to the Apostles to unfold the Gospel have been non everlasting. They have been needed on the BEGGINNING stages of the Church. have you ever observe the religion healers under no circumstances declare to be able to upward push somebody from the lifeless (Math 10:8)? or drink poison and be ok (Math sixteen:18)? properly in the event that they have an identical wonderful presents of the Holy Spirit that the Apostles had they could be waiting to flow to ANY graveyard and say arise and a few it is straightforward to arise. they could be waiting to drink a whooooooole field crammed with cyanide and be ok. I tell u what if any guy or woman does no longer visit the well-being midsection remarkable away after eating poison they're going to honestly die. Ya see there's a distinction between the two. One is used as an phantasm to play on peoples thoughts and one is actual (the presents the Apostles had Promised to them by utilising Jesus). wonderful presents do no longer exist anymore they have served there purpose. ALL we % now's the achieved Bible. With that being reported the miracles isn't what saved the souls of adult males besides. It became the Gospel message that thay preached. So we could consistently carry forth an identical message in the present day. that's incredibly unhappy to work out people death from this lack of expertise of God's be conscious. it is not even remarkable to call them "faith" healers because be conscious faith comes by utilising listening to the be responsive to God Rom 10:17, yet they do no longer hear to God's be conscious. the very fact that they are reckoning on some wonderful project to happen at the same time as anybody is death could be ignoring what the holy spirit reported by utilising way of Paul in1 cor 13:8-10. The bible says they're going to end. So I have confidence God in this remember no longer what a persons' emotions have confidence to be actual. In any given concern if aaaaaaanyone desires scientific interest i'm taking them to the well-being care expert, and that i visit wish that God will help them if it is his will.

I believe there is indeed faith healing, however I also believe it won't happen in front of a live TV audience performed by a ranting, sweating, make up wearing televangelist.

I do believe in faith healing. My brother was healed of bad knees and I was healed of bad lungs (smoking). It felt like a refreshing whirlwind in my chest (kinda like when you put a breath mint in your mouth). I knew God healed me through this person and was very humbled by the experience. I mean, think about it...God took the time to heal ME of all people. Needless to say, I threw out my smokes!:-)
As far as televangelists, I have my doubts...

it get's it's root from the fact that Jesus healed by the Permission of God,and for every desease God has created it's cure.Science has nothing to do with it.But yes, there are many frauds who do not understand or seem to care about the consequences of their actions.

I do not believe also..I just turn the channel and watch something else. People have the right to preach and they have the right to believe what they want..so we can't shut them down..it interferes with those freedoms.
