From what I hear back in the good old days Howard Johnson hotels were heavily used on the weekends for sex. As a result guys started using the term "I've gotta go take care of my Johnson.", which actually meant they were going to take their girl to the Howard Johnson Hotel. Since then, the Howard Johnson Hotels have been long forgotten, however, the term Johnson, which was originally referred to having sex at the Howard Johnson Hotel has been transformed into a slang term for penis. Well when I was in Diving school my Instructor nick-named me Evenrude, after the motor boat engine company because even though I'm a big guy I swim very powerfully and fast. Even with all the scuba gear on.
Now I have heard of the penis being called a WOODY,But i suppose it could be called a Johnson because during intercourse it is suppose to pound in and out of you, real fast till ejaculation you know. so they name it after the Johnson boat

I m going to guess that term was born and named after our 36th President L.B.Johnson. He was reportedly obsessed with his penis and even made the White House have a stream of water pointed at only his Johnson, if you catch my drift.
