yea, i'm doing this project and i need a good thesis statement, but i don't even know what a thesis statement is, so if anyone could please help that would be great, my topic is effects of deforestation in south america, thax a lot

A thesis would basically be a summarization of what the whole project will be about.
For example:
Deforestation is detrimental to the natural landscape and habitat of South America, greatly affecting the wildlife and ways of life of the South American people.
Or something like that. Your project would then assumably focus on illustrating how your thesis is true.

Disrupts the Eco-system.
Only guessing but I would think that your thesis statement would be the point that you are trying to further.
The fact that deforestation would surely disrupt the eco-system would be a good point to develop.
