not really.
the few jobs i've seen that were content with an associate's degree were those that barely cared that you had a degree at all and did not pay well.

In now days you need to have at least a bachelor degree to have a decent job. If you have an associate degree, you can transfer to a four-year university straight to a third year there. Very often, if not always, this is done automatically, without any enrollment tests. Study there for two more years, and you will be done with your bachelors. Check with the transfer center at your college for the necessary forms to fill out and the deadlines. Usually, you have to fill out those forms 1 year (!) prior to your transfer.

The short answer to your question is no.
In fact, the trend is moving more towards advanced degrees. In my parents day (they are "baby boomers"), a Bachelor's degree was a rather big deal, especially if it was from a top university. Now, a Bachelor's degree is the minimum. If you want to land the really good jobs, in most fields you will need a Master's degree.
