the carburetor has got some dirt in it,,that must have passed by the filter,, it happens sometimes,,and it causes a lot of trouble,,you,ll need to clean and rebuild that one if you want to use it,,you said it ran good with another one,that's what it is,,you might want to clean out the gas tank too it may have a lot of sediment in it,,and it may be pumping it in to the carburetor on it,,i own a repair shop,,and we do this kind of work,,i always clean the tank out too,,it keeps from having to re-do another carburetor,,good luck with it,,hop this help,s.

sounds like the jets are plugged up or there is a vaccum leak between the carb and intake manifold

You have a major vacuum leak either at the base of the carburetor, or in the bushings where the lower butterflies are attached to the case of the carburetor.

the float or needle barrings are stuck, buy a carb rebuild kit and follow the directions. .........
