Unfortunately, this time around, Yahoo messed it up. What I dislike about their home page is not just the organization, but the fact that the stupid search text box clears itself while you're typing something in there. Annoying.
From what I understand, Yahoo Answers is what saved Yahoo... otherwise Yahoo would be tagging behind other (better) sites.

Why don't you just change your home page?
- Go to the page you want as a home page
- click Tools
- click Internet Options
You will see the address of the page you are on.
- click "use current"

That is subjective.
If you're that unhappy about it, then give them the feedback and actually articulate what you don't like about it.
