The main points are transportation, economy, climate and culture. I am writing a comparative and contrast essay and need some help with these four points.

LA of course is located in a warm climate. NY is in a humid subcontinental climate. Hot summers, cold winters.
NY has more going for it culturally than LA does. Both are truly inernational cities.
LA is more laid back, NY is fast fast.
The mass transit is terrible in LA and excellent in NY. NY and Chicago have the best public transits in the country.
People love to walk in NY. LA is all about driving. People in LA are more materialistic. You are judged by the car you drive and looked down at if you don't have a nice car, let alone don't have any car. Wealthy people share the same subway in NY. LA is opposite of that.
Both economies are strong. For money, the opportunity is better in NY, both cities have very high cost of living expenses. Especially NY. But both cities offer great career opportunities with their large economies.
The Hispanic population is largely Mexican in LA and Puerto Rican in NY. Both cities share large Jewish populations, NY having more.. LA no longer has an NFL team. NY has two teams.

Transportation: LA is spread out over a large area, NYC is large but not as spread out. Walking, subways and taxis are the backbone of NY trans. LA people drive.

New York is in the state of New York, on the east coast, Los Angles is in California on the west coast
